PB TECH AWARDS NIGHT:
THE CALM AT THE END OF A ROLLER COASTER YEAR
Just a few words. December finally came! I know that majority, if not all, will agree with me that we’ve waited a while for us to be able to sigh out these words.
It is already given if we will put in mind what everyone went through this year with the arrival of COVID-19 in our lives. But let us not dwell on the negativity that the pandemic had brought. Besides, it is still December! the Christmas season.
The essence of loving and giving should still be received and shared by each and every one of us, be it from our own home or workplace.
And that’s what we do here at PB Tech! Employees are given a day to relax, drink, chit-chat with each other, and make good memories of course. But above all this, we make sure that every sweat, tears, and hard work would not go unnoticed.
Violaaaa! The PB Tech Annual Awards Night! The perfect event to bond with colleagues and add pages to our good memories together.
Employees that shined throughout the highs and lows of this pandemic have been awarded. Also, a good time to welcome the latest batch of 30 trainees to the PB Tech Family! ❤
A couple of themes were picked and everyone gets to vote on what theme do they want. Majority wins! After the voting, Gatsby Theme came out on top, edging the Coachella and Game of Thrones Theme.
Looks like we are going with the 1980-ish classic and sophisticated get-ups and decors! Time to bring out that Leonardo De Caprio Gatsby aura in all of us.
By the way, shoutout out to PB Tech’s Engagement Team! Not only that this event will not be possible without them, but they are also in charge of all engagement activities that happened throughout the year. What they have done is definitely essential to make sure that everyone gets that heat-check amidst the busy days.
So the venue was set, the program was arranged and awardees were determined. But most importantly, the Team made sure that our safety will be the top-most priority. With that in mind, prior swab testing has been done to make sure that we won’t be adding to the everyday rising cases of COVID-19 in our country. Fortunately, every person that was tested resulted negative.
Everyone was excited to show up and dress up to flaunt the outfits they have prepared for the special night. Besides that, this is also a good time to unwind and have a look back on all happenings that we should be thankful for. So let’s jump straight to the event!
You can feel the excitement in the air right after the beginning of the long-awaited day. The venue was lit! The classic ambiance of how the place was decorated, the elegant feels of every table, and the perfect color scheme chosen for the place, perfectly complements the charm brought by each employee who came in with their best Gatsby outfit.
There was glamour everywhere! Dress to impress! Doesn’t matter if you are a leader or agent. Everyone was in their best attire for the night. Gentlemen looking fine and firm on their suits and vests of different color and style, matched with fine bowties and neckties. Some chose the less formal route with their long sleeve, hat, and suspender get-up. Ladies, on the other hand, flaunt their class and beauty with sparkling dresses and elegant accessories.
There is no other fitting start to the event than by opening it with welcome remarks from one of the bosses, Mr. Juan Miguel Umali.
Following the words of Mr. Umali, it was indeed overwhelming to see the headcount grow from just a few people occupying a few table rows, to numbers enough to almost fill the whole venue. Such a heartwarming sight to behold seeing old faces mixed with new ones.
It’s good to keep the culture that everyone takes care of each other, even those they don’t know yet.
So that officially started the program! Some words of inspiration to set the tone of the night. What do we have in store? Hmmm. An energetic emcee to outline the program, awards for outstanding employees, intermission numbers, and delicious foods. Ahh! I missed something. The always anticipated team performance battle!
Throughout the night, there are four teams that battled to be hailed as the best performing team! They used different gimmicks and talents that made everyone laugh and smile.
There are also intermission numbers from employees and trainees which showed that they are one talented batch!
Aside from the performances, one part that everyone was excited about is the raffle! Which saw lucky employees take home some of the major prizes like a laptop, washing machine, flat-screen TV, etc.
The effort of dressing up to impress would not go to waste as well. A Female and Male Star of the night award was given for the best-dressed lady and gentlemen of the evening.
The best part was of course saved for last. Awarding of the outstanding employees. Some awards given are Employee of the Year, Leader of The Year, and Star Employees for different departments. It is very inspiring to hear their stories of success and how they urge everyone to work hard as well to be successful.
Lots of love for our American and Australian counterparts which made sure that they are together with us on the event be it via online greetings/messages, helping announce the awardees, or tuning in the live broadcast.
As the event comes to a close, Mr. Louie Rosales (Manager of BI Team)gave his own share of inspiring messages and led a toast to bid 2020 goodbye and look forward to a fruitful 2021. Besides, what more can’t we endure? Seeing us overcome one hell of 2020 together.
After all that, it is time to party! Dance and drink the night away! Even though each employee has their own preference on how to spend the night, it is very evident that everyone had fun dancing, singing, playing games, or just barely sharing stories with each other.
So that was it! Thank you for all the memories made this year! Happy memories that made us smile and some not so happy ones that made us stronger moving forward. Looking forward to seeing all these faces until the end of 2021. PBTECH Number one!
