As the saying goes “teamwork makes the dream work”. The thing is, teamwork is not instant. Pieces of a puzzle won’t fit at your first attempt to put it together. It needs time, it needs effort, it needs attention.

Putting it in reality, a team needs time together to think and discover how a group of completely unique individuals can unite to meet a common goal. What a better way to start stitching the team together than to have a team building!

After weeks of planning and delays, Team Prodigy Digital Consultancy team building finally happened last February 9–11. The destination? Clark, Pampanga for the 22nd Hot Air Balloon Festival then straight to the “Summer Capital of the Philippines, Baguio, to shake-off some heat.

Smile ! Team No Sleep Haha

Thursday, a day before the trip (which was scheduled at 1:00 AM Friday), the team had a mini-meeting to talk about what to bring and what will be their role in the team building trip. The team was excited, especially the first timers ( I’m one of them haha). One challenge though is that because the trip is scheduled to begin on 1:00 AM and Thursday is office day, the team has no room for sleep. (Sleep is for the weak! hehe)

After the office hours were done, foods were already bought, bags were already packed, and we are ready to hit the road!

The beautiful sunrise scenery in Clark, Pampanga. ❤ ❤

First stop is Clark Pampanga for the Hot Air Balloon Festival, the team’s target time of arrival is 5:00 AM. As expected, because of having no sleep, everyone was asleep during the majority of the road towards Pampanga. ( Except the driver of course haha )

We arrived at Clark, Pampanga before sunrise after approximately 4 hours of travel. As expected, there were a lot of people that came to witness the show for that day.

Balloons everywhere! ❤ ❤

The 22nd Hot Air Festival was celebrated this year from February 8, 2018 to February 11, 2018, with the theme “A Weekend of Everything that Flies.” Oh well. The theme lived up for itself.

Swoosh! Up up!
There goes that plane!

The festival was more than hot air balloons. There were planes, para-gliders, and the most thrilling guys of the festival, the wing walkers. Basically, they are ladies standing at the wings of a plane while doing stunts. The plane was moving in the air! Take note of that.

Unfortunately, we need to leave Clark by 10:00–11:00 AM because we can’t take the heat of the sun. (Bye Clark!)

It’s Baguio time! But before the team head straight to Baguio, looks like we have a little time to visit some dinosaurs and snap some remembrance pictures.

Say Raaaawr!

We stopped on Clark Land to have some pictures at their dinosaur theme park “Dinosaur Island”. After the photo shoot, let’s head to Baguio for real!

Travel time again! As usual, the majority of the team was asleep on the road. We stopped to grab our lunch then the expedition continues!

As we are travelling Kennon Road (correct me if im wrong haha) the path was beginning to go higher and curvier. Time to bring out your bonamins and dizzitabs, and plastic bags or paperbags to be sure.

The team stopped several times to take some pictures of insta-worthy places while travelling up. The iconic “Baguio Lion” will be number 1 on the list of course.

Follow the next chapter for The Prodigy Baguio Adventures. :)
